Swim in rivers – this is both therapeutic for your body as well as your mind
Trek the nearby hills – If you find your peace in movement, this is the place for you. The hilly, forested terrain offers great trekking opportunities, ranging from walks on gentle slopes to very adventurous adrenaline-pumping hikes in the neighboring hills..
Night treks – This entices the mysterious adventurous souls , trek while listening to the sound of owls and other night birds.

Sightseeing
Dabosa Falls: One of the most attractive spots in Jawhar, it is a pretty picture as the water gushes from a height turning milky white. The densely forested surroundings and the perfectly quiet atmosphere make it an excellent escape for travelers.
Hanuman Point: This interesting spot provides lovely and enchanting views of the valley lying beneath. The spot has earned its name from a legend that Lord Hanuman relaxed here while on his way to Shri Rama.
Jai Vilas Palace: Also known as ‘Raj Bari’ the palace was one the official residences of the royal Munke family. The palace was located on top of a rock so as to enable the king to look at his kingdom from a height. The structure is extremely attractive with intricately decorated domes and carvings. The surrounding lush green cashew trees provide a wonderful backdrop to the palace.
Cultural activities
People
The local communities are predominantly tribal and are traditionally small scale cultivators, food gatherers or hunters.
Dance
The tarpa dance is performed during the harvest season. Tarpa is a wind musical instrument made from bamboo , a hollow bottle gourd and palm leaves . It is usually played whilst the tribe dances around the bonfire .Amongst the famous dances of the community the tarpa and dhol nach (dance) are most prominent.
Art
The warli are well known today amongst elite circles for their unique form of decorative art. They paint life with an intricacy of detail and an amazingly beautiful way of depicting every aspect that surrounds their daily routine. Learn this unique and dying art form
Cuisine
Food is one of the most visible and most enjoyable aspects of the warli culture. Vegetarian dishes may include bhakari [a type of flat bread is prepared using rice flour along with locally grown vegetables .
The most accessible aspect of the local culture for you will be their food. All food is prepared over a traditional wood fire from organically grown ingredients.
The staple diet here consists of grains such as rice, bajra, jowar, and naachni – a red millet very rich in iron and other vitamins and is also used to make papads and rotis. varai- a white millet is also used to make rotis.
