Purushwadi which is located 1000 m above sea level is not only green with all its monsoon glory but calm , serene and a perfect getaway form the hustle and bustle of the city life. It is truly the simple life cut out and devoid of noise , pollution and any chaos. Explore nature , its greenery and yourself in a village lifestyle while on photo-walks , participate in village activities , games and relish the local cuisine.
All this and more while capturing village stills and memories to take back with you under the guidance of our facilitator Girish Menonwho is a street photographer from Mumbai having 10 years of professional experience and 3 years of teaching experience.
Through this photo tour, you will learn to discover the principles of street photography in a rustic setting which offers a unique photo opportunities. You will also learn the various techniques of using a camera to manipulating light , depth (space) and time to maximise the aesthetics whilst keeping the editorial content honest.
The Itinerary for this tour is as follows :-
Day 1
Guests will need to take the 07:15 am Kasara Shuttle from Dadar. Grassroutes personal will accompany you on this journey.
9:00 am Pickup in Jeep from Kasara Railway Station.
11:00 amArival at the Village.Welcome by the Villagers. Welcome drinks.
Lunch- Enjoy Local Cuisine, cooked by the Villagers.
Post Lunch- Photography session and practical demonstrations
Early Evening- Walk through the village observing and photographing the culture and lifestyle. On returning to the campsite, share your photos, observations and discoveries with each other for feedback.
08:00 pm Chill out and make photos around a bonfire under the gorgeous night sky followed by dinner.
Day 2
5:00 am Take a small walk through the mountains, and watch a spectacular Sunrise followed by tea and biscuits
07:00 am Walk through the village taking photos of people doing their morning rituals and chores such as farming, milking goats, pounding rice etc. and village activities.
10:00 am Feedback and question and answers session whilst having breakfast followed by village sports, local games and a dip in the river
12.30 pm Lunch
01:30 pm Send off in Jeep to Kasara.
